The last six months, Noah has been sooo over his braces. It helped when he got the palate expander out but the days leading up to getting the braces off were more exciting to him than the last 3 Christmas' combined. He will not do well in a couple of years when the next set gets put on.
Braces Boy
That didn't take long. Noah had a palate expander put in at the beginning of summer. At the initial appointment it was discussed seeing how he did and then making a plan for braces. Jenna took him for the expander installation and nothing was really said that she remembers. I took him to the recent appointment that, we assumed, was to remove the expander and discuss a date to put on braces.
We sat there in the waiting room and the nice lady came out to get him. As they were walking I heard, "Are you ready to get braces?"
His head shot up as they walked back. I immediately text Jenna we somehow messed this up. How did we not know he was getting braces today. Suddenly I had the girl sitting next to me. "Noah said his momma said he's not getting braces today and he isn't sure I know what I'm supposed to do" she had the most comical look of bewilderment on her face as if to say she's never had an eight year old question her before.
So I walked back with her and told Noah his parents were given this information too long ago and he should trust what the people in scrubs and lab coats say. He flashed me a thumbs up and said "Alright guys. Let's do it," to the assistant.
