So intense
Sunday afternoons
Great time until they wanted to leave the shade :)
Such a...big kid
When did he get so tall and grown looking. His momma is not happy :)
Guess who saw Rocky 3 last night?
Last night Rocky 3 was on and we decided to let Noah stay up and watch it. It had the same effect it has on every warm blooded male since it's release. He did pushups all morning. He looked for his jumprope to no avail but he still worked out with mom. He wrapped up the day with a boxing match he didn't know I was recording. My favorite part by far is him taking a "punch" and how hard it was to get up off the mat :) Love that boy.

Red Belt
Last week Noah graduated to red belt. He only has a few belts left but progress from here slows considerably. He's pretty proud of himself. It's been a long road (a third of his life) to here but he can really see the end of the road and it's lit a little fire under him. Proud parents.
Finally...a tooth
In case anyone has forgotten, Noah lost his first tooth the hard way. Gravity, inertia, and the density of a wooden barstool are lessons lost on a 3-4 year old. It seems like forever ago, but he is finally about to have a full set of chompers again.
<I know the video is vertical. Yes I know it's my pet peeve. It didn't rotate on the ipad and after it was captured I didn't want a different take because his smile is just so genuine and sweet. Love that boy.>
Won the battle but lost the war
During the many snow days, Noah's ATA school said if the kids practiced for an hour they'd get credit for a class. We invited Banks over so they'd both get credit. Somehow, my male brain thought it would be a good idea to let them spar. I wanted to document their practice so I caught a few rounds on video. In this video, Noah finally wins the point with his left foot only to leave himself open to lose the war. Ouch.
Selfie Sunday-where it's at
I post most snapshots to Facebook and the end result is there are fewer and fewer posts here. I'm starting a new thing that I hope I keep up with.

2013 in Review
Music by Pearl Jam used without permission but too awesome not to use.
Noah's letter to Santa-2013
I can't remember which magazine it is that asks in their interviews, "If you could ask Person X one question...."
Now we know what Noah would ask Santa!

Seriously?
Dad corrects me and Mom loves me. That's how I read it.
2013 Fall Family Fun Day
The plan was perfect. The day was going to be beautiful. We were going to ride our bikes from central Fayetteville on the Razorback trail to the Botanical Gardens and then around Lake Fayetteville. We'd have fresh air, exercise, and get to explore the gardens. Except....
The day was not beautiful. Weatherman got that one wrong. By the time the clouds dissipated it was turning cold. The Botanical Gardens doesn't take American Express which was the only card we packed in our bag. Then I got not 1, not 2, but 3 flat tires. Two of which required walking to Lewis and Clark.
At the end of it all we persevered. Jenna rode ahead to get fixes for the bike and the kids and I walked. We just decided to let ourselves in at the Botanical Gardens and make a donation afterwards. Oddly when we got home we had a fundraiser request from the Botanical Gardens in the mail. As far as the weather, God provided a make up to us with the most unbelievable sunset on the lake.
I made a gallery linked below. Not many pictures but a couple of fun videos. Overall it was a great day. According to plan or not.
2013 Halloween
The Green's came over for the 7th year in a row to go trick or treating. I officially declare it a tradition. The older boys are finally old enough to get the scary part of Halloween. They didn't hesitate to go up to the scary houses while Cam clung to her momma's leg. She made it the whole way though and only conned Ron into carrying her one time.
Jenna was slightly disturbed Noah wanted to be the Grim Reaper but at least it wasn't a zombie. I'm sick of zombies. Campbell was Doc McStuffins and she made sure everyone knew she wasn't the "real" Doc McStuffins. It was only a costume and she can't really fix toys.
Proud in pink
My chest may burst from pride. Pride in ATA for giving 100% to breast cancer research and pride in Noah for wearing a pink belt with pride.
Racing siblings
Ok the geek in me loves the new slo-motion video setting on the new iPhone. The kids have played with it all weekend. Here they are racing each other. Luckily I stopped recording before Campbell lost her basket for losing. I could've sworn I gave her enough of a head start.
