We went to Texarkana for the first golf tournament of the year. Started on hole 6 at TCC; your run of the mill 190 yard Par 3 over water into a stiff 25 mph wind. Six strokes later and the year was underway. Afterwards though, nothing could keep my spirits down. Below is the fruits of our afternoon labor.
A few weeks off due to swimming
I really am sorry for a lack of updates. I do okay with Twitter and the Flickr feed but when I sit down to blog I seem to have a dozen email, reports, etc. Jenna and I laugh that we have a treadmill in our bedroom on full blast that our feet hit in the morning and we can't get off until that night. Intend to do better but I'm pretty sure it was March last year where I took a little 'time off.'
Happy 29th Jenna!
Family Time and Fresh Air
After a long week I woke up Saturday morning with the bug to get outside. The weather was supposed to be warmer but I honestly didn't care. We all needed the fresh air and it was a nice segway into our weekend.
Temper, temper
One thing that has popped up in the past few weeks is something new to our parenting. Campbell's temper. Noah has gotten mad before but he usually just gets upset. Campbell has started to look at us when we tell her "No," grab the closest thing (if she's not holding something already), and throws it down as hard as a 1 y/o could be imagined to throw something, followed by throwing herself down and screaming. We just walk away and ignore it and she dries it up on her own but we look at each other with a "Did you just see what she did?" look.
We usually laugh it off but there is no small part of us wondering what she has in store for us.
Lately
Since the blizzard has dried up we haven't done much of anything. Last week was the first full workweek in seemingly forever and by Friday you could tell by the way everyone were dragging around. Work has consumed much of our life lately. I had a referral with some visual perceptual stuff I haven't seen before and after a quick purchase from the Kindle store have had my nose buried in a research book. Jenna seems to have a conference every morning that she's prepping for the night before. We did watch Castle last night, which was nice but I didn't know it was a 2 parter or I probably would've waited to watch it. The in-between time belongs to kids. If you could bottle the time when we first get home, we'd have a vacation home in Tuscany. The kid's are just sweet, agreeable, and want to play together. Then dinner time turns into begging Noah to eat and asking Campbell to stop throwing food to the dogs. We still plan to keep them though :)
In my defense
Ladies and gentleman of the jury. My wife has accused me of having an irrational love for the game of golf. Today I'd like to introduce a photo into evidence in my defense over the 9+ years of our relationship. My pursuit of golf comes from poor genetic coding not from a desire to spend time away from her. So I introduce this photo of my father yesterday.
I rest my case.
The view this morning
Callie the snowbunny
Introducing the happiest mammal in Northwest Arkansas. Just like Vader in the field with birds, you can just see what environment Callie was bred for. She absolutely loves it out here.
Digging out
The Weather Channel has been telling things to do in our situation to avoid catostrophe. Things like dig your car out in case something terrible happens because it will be average 2-3 for emergency services. So I trekked out to dig out our fire hydrant and my truck. Of course, shenanigans broke out.
Wow!
Snow, snow go away...
Happy 60th Magga (Mom)!!!!
Happy birthday Mom! I love you...but I still have to post the video of the aftermath of your birthday song. If you ask I'll take it down :)
Magga's birthday gift
My mom turns 60 this week so I packed up the kids and took them South. My gift...cleaning out her garage.
We (Wii) can dance if we want too...
Nothing needs to be said. Just watch.
Snow, snow, snow
Boys day
Yesterday I found myself in the position of school being out and a lot of paperwork to catch up on. I had good intentions but Ron called me on the way to taking Noah to preschool and said he had his boys and they were going to Boingy Bounce. So we took a detour to Denny's, Boingy Bounce, and then to the Oklahoma Aquarium. Unbelievably, my procrastination has improved over the years.

Day at the lake
Jenna and I had date night with the kids last night. Her and Noah headed to the lake while Campbell and I took in AQ Chicken's sweet potato casserole. Jenna sent me this pic of them going across the levy. I had to Instagram it and put it up.
Happy Holidays 2010
Sorry about the lack of updates. I try not to post too much during the holidays when we're traveling. Santa made a big visit at the Sullivan house. The kids got the perfect mix of fun toys that'll be out with the next fad (i.e. epic Mickey) and good stuff that'll hopefully last awhile (i.e. A guitar).
We're still making albums in iPhoto so I'll let you know when I get a whole album uploaded to the photo section. Don't forget to keep tabs on the Flickr Feed to the left. It doesn't show them in chronological order on the homepage so you can't use a glance to check for updates. Just click on 'papagoat's photostream' to check out the photos I uploaded over the holiday.
I hope you all had wonderful Christmas seasons with your friends and families.
