She's pretty tired here but she still wants to play.
She's pretty tired here but she still wants to play.
You all know I'm a geek at heart. I try to live my life as a medical professional but my mind always warps around technology in some capacity.
Well last night I started to wonder how Google makes those pretty little icons pop up when you bookmark one of their pages to your homescreen on the iPhone or iPad. All other sites make an icon that is a picture of the site you are looking at.
Well an hour of my life, a hefty dose of photoshop, and a sprinkling of code injection gets you...
Now if you bookmark this site, this is the icon that will be saved to your homescreen.
My apologies to Indiana Jones. Short Stuff was not hurt during the making of this icon.
Here's a photo of Noah after the swelling in his nose has finally gone down.
Campbell is about to make me put the lower gate back on the entrance to the stairs. She hasn't succeeded yet but she's starting to try climbing up them.
Campbell was in such a good mood when I got home I had to snap a pic of us.
The poor kid's face is still swollen, he couldn't chew dinner, but by golly he is excited for the tooth fairy.
The dentist had to pull the tooth. Noah's mom is pretty upset he'll go the next 2 years or so without a tooth but we're lucky the damage wasn't worse.
Noah was a very brave little boy and didn't cry for any of the shots. A highlight was the dentist telling him to breath the gas because it'll make him silly. Noah took several deep breaths, pumped his fist, and announced 'It's get silly time!!!'
The other front tooth is also a little loose but X-rays showed it should be fine. We'll have to watch it for infection.
He still looks a little silly with his nose and top lip swollen pretty bad. He's excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight.
Noah took a good fall this morning. Not sure what happened but the short version is he knocked a tooth crooked. Pretty sure they're going to have to pull it. I'll update in a bit.
UPDATE-Uploaded a better pic. Sitting here waiting for them to get prepped. He's got a good sense of humor about it after the first hour of crying. I'll upload the video of him explaining what happened when we get home.
Noah's really gotten into baseball since they started playing kickball at school. When I told him I used to play baseball he asked me to be his "teacher." Never mind it was 101 at 530PM yesterday. My boy wanted to go play baseball so we did.
We had a lot of fun and he ran the bases like a champ. He's getting a lot better at hitting the ball each time too.
The best part was the conversation when we got home. He scraped his elbow pretty good with a fair amount of blood. When his Momma say it she asked him what happened. He bravely replied "I got hurt. Daddy said hurt and injured aren't the same thing so I had to keep playing baseball." She shot me a look and I found something really interesting on the ceiling to look at.
Here's a video of the young Joe Dimaggio.
I spent some time last night updated the embedded videos. I noticed at lunch the uploads were finished. You'll notice the videos all have a picture to click (poster frame) before the videos load. This will keep the site from taking forever to load since it downloaded the videos everytime you went to the front page. Just another example of my tireless efforts to make your life better ;)
In our defense, this was not his bath tonight.
Campbell knocked this photo off the shelf the other day so it's been sitting out all week. I've seen it every day and I marvel at how young and fresh we looked before kids sucked all the life out of us. Just kidding......sort of :)
What a beautiful morning. Temperature is nice and cool-well it's not an inferno. When I saw the cloud cover this morning I offered to move breakfast and the paper to the patio. After we ate we actually got to enjoy the yard and play for a bit before the sun decides to make it unbearable again.
Not sure what's worse. Her into everything or everything going into her mouth.
It looks like I'll be lowering Campbell's mattress this weekend since she pulls to stand now.
Too funny. One of those moments that make you glad you have your camera handy.
We've had quite the time getting Noah to learn to swim. He's had lessons a couple of times but he just wouldn't go with the flow so to speak. Jenna signed him up for private lessons this summer but I still had my doubts. About 2 weeks before his lessons he went on vacation with Jana. Watching Jana swim around like a fish sealed it for him.
These videos are after 4 lessons. It's a wonder what a little competition and a complete stranger can get your kids to do.
Noah's best bud Hayden has a new little brother. Sam's a month early but he's doing great. Congrats to the Greens!
There aren't many things in this world that can compare to your child sleeping in your arms.
